The safety and welfare of your children is our top priority. Here is some Health and Safety information:
Older Siblings
We ask that your child’s older siblings remain in the reception area of the Nursery when you are collecting your child. Siblings are not insured to be on our premises and, as our corridor is very narrow and busy, it can be a hazard for all.
Absence Calls
Should your child be absent please inform us on the 1st day of absence stating any illness and a possible return date, and every 2nd day thereafter for an update. This will ensure your child’s place is kept available and allows us to inform other parents of any possible infections present (please be assured no names are ever disclosed). Continued, unexplained absence or intermittent attendance may result in your child’s placement being revoked by Glasgow City Council.
DO NOT BRING RUCKSACKS/ BACKPACKS FOR CLOAKROOM STORAGE.
We do not have the capacity for them and children will, naturally, want to access them (even if they belong to another) and remove contents.
We cannot risk children sharing items with their friends who may have food allergies
Nursery Bags
Please do not leave food/drink/medication in your child’s Nursery tote bag. This is against Council policy as it can be mistakenly taken by another parent/child with potentially harmful consequences due to allergies etc.
Children drop off and collection
All AM children must be collected by 12:45am
All PM and FULL TIME children must be collected by 5.45pm
